Pool Operating Under Phase Three Requirements as of July 1st

We appreciate the support through Phase Two and hope everyone will continue to enjoy the pool as restrictions slightly loosen. Please keep in mind that we are still amidst a national pandemic, and social distancing guidelines are crucial to our community's well being.

The Phase Three Pool Guidelines are available at the Downloads link on the left menu.  Here's a brief summary, listed below by topic.

Flotation Devices
We are adding single-use floats like noodles, single tubes, etc.  NO OVERSIZED FLOATS. No large blow-up floats that are intended for more than one person or that take up a lot of space will be allowed. If floats cause the pool to be over-crowded, this policy may be adjusted.

Guest Policy
Residents may bring two guests per family. For groups, it is recommended to reserve the pavilion. Gate Monitors will continue to check ID's upon pool entrance.

Lap Swim
Lap swim only hours are available in the morning before the pool opens. Lap swimming is allowed during open hours as well, and residents can request a lap lane with the Pool Monitor. Early morning lap swimmers need to sign a waiver for early access before their key card will be updated.

Pool Pavilion Rentals
The pool pavilion is available for group rentals during open swim or for private rental after hours. Details are listed on the Forest Lakes website, and requests can be submitted using the "Pool Pavilion reservation" link on the left menu.

Thank you for being good sports with us as we navigate all of these new policies and procedures.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation, including the cancellation of the Lynchburg Aquatic League swim team season and State and Federal mandates and restrictions, the FLPOA Board of Directors has decided that the Forest Lakes Pool will only be open for residents of Forest Lakes this season.
Non-residents who have already applied and paid for a Family or Individual Membership will be refunded their payments in full.  We apologize for any inconveniences, but the extreme circumstances have led us to this decision.

Resident pool usage will be subject to State and Federal guidelines and mandates.  COVID-19 related rules will be in place - please download from this site (See "Downloads for FLPOA Residents" link at left).
In addition, the FLPOA Board will limit pool availability as conditions warrant.  Updates will be provided on this website.

* Check this site for updates on this season's Pool opening date, given the COVID-19 situation. *

Forest Lakes residents are all members of the pool.

All Pool Members should register on this site and provide their cellphone number so that we can send text alerts regarding pool events, closings, etc.

Pool Access Cards - Admittance to the pool requires an access card. The first pool access card is free for all new residents and members. Additional cards are $15.00 each.  This year, we will be using a color coded sticker on your access card(s) that indicates your membership type.  This will be done by the Pool Monitors when you first use the pool this season.

The Forest Lakes Pool is home to the Forest Area Swim Team (F.A.S.T.).  For more information, visit: www.fastmakos.com
